INFORMATION FOR GUIDERS OF CAMBRIDE INTERNATIONAL EXAM
Our qualifications are primarily designed for learners who are studying at Cambridge schools. However, if you do not attend a Cambridge school, it is possible to enter our exams as a private candidate.
First, you will need to find a Cambridge school in your country that accepts private candidates and register with them to take Cambridge exams. You are responsible for making your own arrangements with the school and must liaise directly with them – not Cambridge – if you have any exam-related queries, such as special arrangements.
Please note that certain syllabuses or options are not available to private candidates, and this is detailed in the specific syllabus under the availability heading.
The school name will not appear on certificates issued to private candidates.
Cambridge programmes and qualifications have a proven reputation for being an excellent preparation for university, employment and life. They provide a valuable international benchmark of learner performance.
Our qualifications, including Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge O Level, Cambridge International AS and A Level, and Cambridge Pre-U are recognised and welcomed by universities and employers around the world.
The Cambridge approach supports schools to develop learners who are:
  • Confident in working with information and ideas – their own and those of others
  • Responsible for themselves, responsible to and respectful of others
  • Reflective as learners, developing their ability to learn
  • Innovative and equipped for new and future challenges
Engaged intellectually and socially, ready to make a difference.
